  1. This is a hangman program based on the popular *NIX game.  The
  2. accompanying dictionary is strictly for use with this game and would
  3. not be usable with any program that needs a real dictionary.

  5. The play is pretty self-explanatory.  To exit, type 'n' after you have 
  6. completed a word or after you're hung.  Alternately, hangman will exit
  7. if you type ^C at any time.  The overall average displayed on the right is
  8. the average number of incorrect guesses for all words so far.  Current
  9. average is the best you can do on this word if you make no incorrect 
  10. guesses.

  12. The whole shebang is freely distributable, as long as you leave my name in
  13. the source & don't sell it for a profit.
